Metrics3D's contains a built-in facility to dynamically create performance indicators that are used to measure the need for and impact of programs and services. A user, usually the system administrator, can define and apply a formula to data elements in the system to automatically create a performance indicator.

New performance indicators are made available across the system and Metrics3D automatically maintains the integrity of all previously created indicators when any changes are made to the system.
